American homes and gardens
American Homes and Gardens was a monthly architecture and landscape magazine issued by Munn and Co. in New York from 1905, aimed at middle- and upper-class homeowners and builders. Halftone photographs show shingled and stone colonial houses under bare trees, ivy-covered facades, gravel paths, and paneled interiors with ladder-back chairs, tall clocks, and coffered ceilings.
