American homes and gardens

1905 · New York : Munn and Co · 2 pictures

American Homes and Gardens was a monthly published in New York by Munn and Co., the Scientific American house, beginning in 1905 for prosperous homeowners and builders looking at suburban and country houses and their grounds. The plates run to inked floor plans with stippled walls and room labels alongside halftone photographs of facades, interiors, walks and planted rows, useful for architectural diagram work and period garden views.
