The American practical navigator, being an epitome of navigation and nautical astronomy
A 1903 Government Printing Office edition of Bowditch's American Practical Navigator, revised by the Navy's Bureau of Equipment for ships' officers and navigation students. The figures are spare line diagrams — numbered geometric constructions of sextant mirrors, circles of position, meridian arcs and angle notation in solid and dashed rule, usable as clean technical ornament or lettered schematic fragments.
