The American Vignola
A teaching manual on the classical orders by William R. Ware, adapted from Vignola's sixteenth-century canon and issued by the International Textbook Company of Scranton in 1921 for architecture students and draftsmen. Line engravings give measured elevations, plans and profiles — cornice mouldings in hatched section, fluted shafts, capital plans — supplying precise scaled ornament and column geometry for redrawing.
