Among my books
A collection of literary essays by James Russell Lowell on Dryden, Shakespeare, Lessing, Rousseau and witchcraft, published in Boston by J. R. Osgood in 1873 for general readers. The scanned pictures are not illustrations but the Library of Congress tissue endpapers, printed in pale ochre with repeating eagle-and-shield seals and circling capitals reading THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS, useful as a tiled background, watermark texture or ownership-mark motif.
