Amoris diuini emblemata
Emblem book of divine love compiled by the Antwerp painter Otto van Veen, printed by Martinus Nutius and Joannes Meursius in Antwerp in 1615, with verses in several languages for devout, educated Counter-Reformation readers. Sixty engravings pair a haloed winged Amor Divinus with the female Soul in open landscapes strewn with props — bow, net, hoe, birdcage, rays through clouds — supplying figure groups, cloud-burst skies and small emblem attributes.
