Amoris diuini et humani effectus : varii Sacræ Scripturæ Sanctorumq; PP. sententijs : ac Gallicis versibus illustrati
An emblem book printed in Antwerp in 1626 by Michael Snyders, pairing Latin scripture and patristic quotations with French verse for Counter-Reformation devotional readers. The small square copperplate engravings stage Divine Love as a haloed child against a winged Cupid and a female soul, with crosses, bows and arrows, lutes, baskets, tool-strewn ground and grotesque demons, giving designers compact figure groups and clean linear shading on blank ground.
