The ancient sepulchral effigies and monumental and memorial sculpture of Devon
An antiquarian survey of tomb effigies, brasses and church monuments in Devon, written and largely drawn by William Henry Hamilton Rogers and printed for the author at Exeter in 1877 for local antiquaries and church historians. The plates are fine outline engravings: recumbent knights and ladies, incised slabs, heraldic shields, canopy tracery and interlaced knotwork crosses, giving designers crisp linear ornament, borders and emblem shapes.
