Ancient Sinope, an historical account with a prosopographia sinopensis and an appendix of inscriptions
A scholarly monograph on the Black Sea city of Sinope by David M. Robinson, published in Baltimore by the Johns Hopkins Press in 1906 for classicists and epigraphers, with a prosopography and a catalogue of inscriptions. The plates combine halftone photographs of weathered inscribed stones with pen facsimiles that trace each Greek letterform, broken edge and drilled hole, offering models for Greek capitals, incised lettering layout and stone-edge outline drawing.
