A suite of twenty perspective plates engraved and published by Jacques Androuet du Cerceau at Orléans in 1551, issued to architects, painters and craftsmen studying classical building and optics. Circular etchings show vaulted arcades, colonnaded courtyards and receding barrel vaults over patterned pavements, with tiny figures for scale; useful for one-point perspective grids, tiled floor diamonds and roundel framing.
