Angelica Kauffmann : a biography
A biography of the Swiss-born painter Angelica Kauffmann, written by Frances A. Gerard and published in London by Ward and Downey in 1893 for general readers interested in art history. The seven plates are halftone and stipple-engraved reproductions of eighteenth-century portraits: oval-framed women with piled hair, plumed hats and drapery, and a seated man among books, all in soft grey tonal gradients.
