Annales de chimie et de physique
Annales de chimie et de physique is a French scientific journal begun in Paris in 1789 and continued by Masson, written by chemists and physicists for their colleagues. The images gathered here are not diagrams but printer's ornaments: small floral woodcuts of roses, sprigs and leafy sprays, heavily inked on laid paper, usable as vignettes, dividers and chapter-end marks.
