Annals of the coinage of Great Britain and its dependencies : from the earliest period of authentic history to the reign of Victoria
Rogers Ruding's Annals of the Coinage of Great Britain, issued in London by J. Hearne in 1840, catalogues English, Scottish and Irish currency from early history to Victoria for antiquaries and collectors. The 217 plates arrange outline-engraved obverses and reverses in grids: crowned profiles, mounted kings, quartered shields, mint-mark symbols and Latin legends ringing every rim, useful as circular emblems and lettering models.
