Annual exhibition
An annual exhibition catalogue issued by the New York Water Color Club in 1890, listing watercolours for sale with prices and carrying advertisements from New York art packers, shippers and florists for the visitors who walked the galleries. The plates here are mostly commercial printing: numbered entry lines with dollar figures, diagonal type blocks for shipping firms, and orange-red trade emblems including a fern wreath monogram and a landscape vignette crossed by ribbon banners, useful for period lettering, ornament and ready-made badge shapes.
