Annual report of the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Annual report of the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art, printed in Philadelphia from 1878 for trustees, members and subscribers of the institution housed in Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park. The plates are wood-engraved exterior views of Memorial Hall with its ribbed dome, arcaded pavilions and surrounding lawns, set in rounded-corner frames with letterpress captions beneath, useful for period architectural vignettes, cloud-hatching textures and framed-plate layouts.
