Firenze antica, e moderna : illustrata
An eight-volume topographical guide to Florence's churches, palaces and monuments, compiled by Vincenzo Follini and Modesto Rastrelli and printed by Pietro Allegrini in Florence from 1789 for local antiquarians and travellers. Small copperplate engravings give frontal views of church facades in line and light hatching, plus vignettes such as the Marzocco lion holding a fleur-de-lis shield, useful as architectural elevations and heraldic emblems.
