The antiquarian itinerary, comprising specimens of architecture, monastic, castellated, and domestic; with other vestiges of antiquity in Great Britain. Accompanied with descriptions
A seven-volume antiquarian survey of British architecture issued in London from 1815, compiled by the topographical engraver James Storer with descriptive letterpress, sold by subscription to antiquaries and gentlemen collectors. The plates are small copperplate views of parish churches, castle ruins, gatehouses and timbered houses set in open country, worked in fine stipple and line with heavy foliage masses, cloud-streaked skies and tiny staffage figures; useful for architectural silhouettes, engraved sky textures and captioned plate borders.
