The antiquarian itinerary, comprising specimens of architecture, monastic, castellated, and domestic; with other vestiges of antiquity in Great Britain. Accompanied with descriptions
A seven-volume topographical survey of British antiquities issued in London from 1815, with plates engraved by James Storer and descriptive letterpress for antiquarian subscribers and collectors of county history. The small copperplate views show parish churches, abbey ruins, castle gatehouses and manor houses set in open country, with fine hatched skies, foreground figures and gravestones, and engraved caption lines useful as period vignettes, silhouettes or architectural detail.
