The antiquarian itinerary, comprising specimens of architecture, monastic, castellated, and domestic; with other vestiges of antiquity in Great Britain. Accompanied with descriptions
A seven-volume topographical survey of British antiquities issued in London from 1815 by the engraver James Storer and his collaborators, aimed at antiquarian subscribers and touring gentlemen who collected views of ruins, churches and old houses. The plates are small copper engravings, each captioned in script beneath the image, showing castle keeps, parish churches, gateways and manor fronts set in open country with tiny figures, cattle and trees, worked in fine stipple and hatching that yields grainy grey tones.
