Antiquités d'Herculanum
A plate volume of Greco-Roman antiquities excavated at Herculaneum, engraved by Tommaso Piroli and issued in Paris in 1804 by Francesco and Pietro Piranesi for collectors, antiquarians and artists. The plates are sparse outline engravings of bronze and marble statues standing on round and square plinths, grouped several to a sheet with plate numbers and Italian captions; useful for clean contour figure drawing, drapery folds, and classical statue silhouettes.
