Les antiquités d'Herculanum : avec leurs explications en françois
A French engraved record of the wall paintings and objects excavated at Herculaneum, etched by François-Anne David with texts by Sylvain Maréchal and issued in Paris from 1780 for antiquarians and artists. Plates set one to three small framed scenes per page: draped single figures, dancers and putti in outline and fine hatching against dark or blank grounds, with plate numbers and volume marks intact.
