A manual of applied mechanics
An engineering textbook by William John Macquorn Rankine, revised by W. J. Millar and issued by Charles Griffin in London in 1904 for students and practising mechanical engineers. The figures are line diagrams printed with the text: lettered points, arrows for forces, rectangles and triangles of stress, and arcs marking arch extrados, usable as spare geometric marks, vector arrows, and labelled construction lines.
