Archaiologik ephmeris : ekdidomen hypo ts en Athnais Archaiologiks Hetairias
Archaiologike ephemeris is the periodical of the Archaeological Society at Athens, begun in 1862 and printed in Greek for scholars of Greek inscriptions, sculpture and excavation reports. Its plates are halftone photographs of broken marble and terracotta against plain grey grounds—eroded heads in profile, armless torsos, inscribed slabs—giving designers grainy stone texture, isolated fragment silhouettes, and incised Greek letterforms.
