Archaiologik ephmeris : ekdidomen hypo ts en Athnais Archaiologiks Hetairias
Archaiologike Ephemeris is the periodical of the Archaeological Society at Athens, begun in 1862 and printed in Greek for epigraphers and excavators reporting new finds from Greek sites. The plates are halftone photographs of excavated stone — inscribed blocks, column and cornice fragments, carved reliefs, painted pottery — shot against black or grey with raking light, offering designers weathered stone texture, incised Greek lettering and isolated fragment silhouettes.
