Archaiologik ephmeris : ekdidomen hypo ts en Athnais Archaiologiks Hetairias
Archaiologike Ephemeris is the journal of the Archaeological Society at Athens, begun in 1862 and printed in Greek for epigraphers and classical archaeologists. Its plates are halftone photographs of broken stone: inscribed stelai and blocks shot flat against plain grounds, dense fields of incised Greek lettering, worn relief figures, and clay tablets whose chipped silhouettes read as high-contrast black-and-grey shapes.
