The Architect & engineer of California and the Pacific Coast
A monthly trade journal for architects, engineers and contractors on the Pacific Coast, issued from San Francisco by the Architect and Engineer Co. from 1905. Its plates are halftone photographs of recently built schools, banks, churches and houses, shot square-on or at a slight angle, with floor plans, entrance details and advertisements for building materials; useful for early-twentieth-century American facades, doorway surrounds, cornice and window rhythms, and grainy grey photographic texture.
