Architectura
A scholarly Latin edition of Vitruvius's treatise on architecture, edited by Giovanni Poleni and Simone Stratico and printed by the Mattiuzzi brothers at Udine in 1825 for architects and classical scholars. The plates are small line engravings of column pedestals, bases, plinths and cornices, keyed with letters and built from dense parallel hatching that reads as ready-made shading and profile ornament.
