A 1916 number of the White Pine Series of Architectural Monographs, edited by Russell F. Whitehead with Richard B. Derby and issued by the White Pine Bureau in Saint Paul, reprinting prize and mention drawings from a competition for a suburban house and garage, aimed at architects, builders and lumber dealers. The plates are pen-and-ink competition sheets: shaded elevations, first-floor plans with planted borders, and detail sheets of trim and paneling, all hand-lettered in drafting capitals.
