An architectural monograph on houses of the Connecticut River Valley,
A number in the White Pine Series of Architectural Monographs, written by architect Richard B. Derby and edited by Russell F. Whitehead for the White Pine Bureau in 1916, surveying eighteenth-century frame houses of the Connecticut River Valley for practicing architects and builders. Duotone halftone photographs show clapboard facades, pedimented doorways, gambrel roofs and bare winter trees, with flat grey-green tonality useful for textured architectural silhouettes and period detail studies.
