An architectural monograph on colonial architecture of the Eastern shore of Maryland,

Ziegler, Charles A · 1916 · [St. Paul, White Pine Bureau] · 20 pictures

An architectural monograph from the White Pine Series, written by Charles A. Ziegler and issued by the White Pine Bureau in St. Paul in 1916 to give American architects and builders a photographic record of colonial houses on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The plates are green-black duotone halftones of clapboard farmhouses, gambrel and gable roofs, brick chimneys and picket fences, mostly half-screened by heavy trees, with dirt roads and hedges in the foreground; useful for muted tonal textures, roofline silhouettes and rural building details.
