An architectural monograph on the early dwellings of Nantucket
An architectural monograph on Nantucket's early dwellings, written by Boston architect Julius A. Schweinfurth and edited by Russell F. Whitehead for the White Pine Bureau's series aimed at architects and builders in 1917. Sixteen duotone photographs show clapboard houses, roof walks, pedimented doorways, shutters, picket fences and dappled street trees, useful as flat-toned period building stock and as plate captions set beneath image blocks.
