An architectural monograph on colonial architecture in Vermont,
An architectural monograph on colonial building in Vermont, written by George S. Chappell for the White Pine Series edited by Russell F. Whitehead and issued by the White Pine Bureau in St. Paul in 1918 for architects and builders working in the colonial revival. Halftone photographs in warm grey-green ink record clapboard house fronts, pedimented doorways with fanlights and sidelights, columned porches, shuttered sash windows and chimney masses, usable as period building stock, facade details and shallow-contrast textures.
