An architectural monograph on the seventeenth century Connecticut house
An architectural monograph by Harold Donaldson Eberlein and Russell F. Whitehead, issued in 1919 by the White Pine Bureau in St. Paul as part of a series documenting early American wood construction for architects and builders. Halftone photographs record clapboarded Connecticut farmhouses in raking sunlight: saltbox roofs, massive central chimneys, small-paned sash, and vine-covered doorways set against lawns and overhanging foliage.
