An architectural monograph on A New England village,
An architectural monograph issued in 1920 by the White Pine Bureau in St. Paul, written by Hubert G. Ripley and Russell F. Whitehead for architects and builders studying colonial New England wood construction. The plates are duotone halftone photographs of clapboard and shingled houses seen from the road, with pedimented doorways, shuttered sash windows, massive chimneys and overgrown dooryards, useful for period textures, silhouettes of gable and gambrel roofs, and doorway detail.
