An architectural monograph on fences and fence posts of colonial times,
An architectural monograph by Alfred Hopkins, issued in 1922 by the White Pine Bureau in St. Paul as a trade series documenting colonial American woodwork for architects and builders. Duotone photographs record New England picket fences, turned balusters, lattice panels, urn- and ball-topped gateposts and doorways, useful as sources for repeating vertical rhythms, silhouettes and period joinery detail.
