Architecture of machinery : an essay on propriety of form and proportion, with a view to assist and improve design
An 1842 essay by Samuel Clegg on form and proportion in machine design, issued by the Architectural Library in London for engineers, draughtsmen and architects working on engine and mill machinery. The plates are outline engravings of connecting rods, pistons, cylinder ends and pump parts, drawn in elevation and section with dimension lines, inch figures and figure numbers; useful for technical line work and measured-drawing motifs.
