The civil architecture of Vitruvius : comprising those books of the author which relate to the public and private edifices of the ancients
An English translation and commentary on Vitruvius by the architect William Wilkins, issued in London in 1812 for architects and classical scholars. The plates are engraved measured drawings — temple elevations, entablature and cornice sections, column orders, and hatched floor plans — many with scale bars and lettered keys, useful as precise line stock for diagrammatic or architectural layouts.
