Daniel Meyer's engraved pattern book on the five orders and the doors, windows, chimneypieces, portals, fountains and epitaphs derived from them, printed at Frankfurt am Main in 1612 by Johann Dietrich de Bry for masons, stonecutters and joiners. The plates are fine-line engravings, often half-elevations split down the centre or enlarged corner details, carrying strapwork panels, grotesque masks, winged figures, banded columns and obelisk finials usable as isolated ornament.
