Architettvra con diversi ornamenti cavati dall'antico
An engraved architectural pattern book drawn from Roman antiquities by Giovanni Battista Montano and published in Rome by Bartolomeo De Rossi in 1638 for architects, stonecutters and ornament carvers. Plates show entablatures, capitals, pedestals and brackets in measured elevation, with friezes of scrolling acanthus, winged figures and masks available as line-drawn ornament, modular column details and shading conventions.
