Journal of the Swiss Heraldic Society, issued in Basel from 1890 for antiquaries, archivists and heraldic scholars in French and German. Line drawings copy medieval seals and coats of arms: round seal faces with Gothic majuscule legends, shields bearing stags, fleurs-de-lis and diapered grounds, standing figures flanked by escutcheons, and broken wax edges rendered as hatched outline, usable as monogram frames, badge shapes and lettered rings.
