Annual journal of the Schweizerische Heraldische Gesellschaft, printed in French and German at Basel from 1887 for antiquarians, archivists and armorial researchers. Line-block reproductions copy Swiss and German coats of arms from seals, woodcuts and painted glass: shields in strapwork cartouches, wild men and angels as supporters, crested helms, hatched fields, and circular seals ringed with Latin lettering — ready-made frames, crests and shield blanks.
