The journal of the Swiss Heraldic Society, published in Basel from 1887 in French and German for heraldists, archivists and collectors of armorial material. Plates reproduce woodcut and engraved coats of arms, bookplates and seals from the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries: quartered shields, crested helms, swan and human supporters, banderoles with mottoes, trophies of pikes and cannon, and dense acanthus mantling usable as borders, frames and crest ornament.
