The Arlington mills; a historical and descriptive sketch
A company-commissioned history and description of the Arlington Mills worsted works at Lawrence, Massachusetts, printed in Boston in 1891 for customers, shareholders and visitors. Halftone photographs show long brick mill blocks with repeating window bays, stair towers and chimneys, canal walls and dam works, viewed across lawns and bare trees in wide horizontal formats with soft grey tone and vignetted edges.
