Armorial families : a directory of gentlemen of coat-armour
A heraldic reference directory compiled by Arthur Charles Fox-Davies and published in Edinburgh in 1905, listing British families entitled to bear arms. Over two thousand line engravings show shields, helms, crests and mantling, with motto scrolls and occasional supporters, printed in dense black on white — usable as ornamental frames, badge shapes, foliate flourishes and ribbon banners.
