The arms of the Scottish bishoprics
A 1917 heraldic handbook by W. T. Lyon, printed at Selkirk by The Scottish Chronicle Offices, cataloguing the coats of arms of the Scottish episcopal sees for churchmen and antiquaries. Each plate is a black-and-white line drawing of a shield beneath a jewelled mitre, carrying saints under Gothic canopies, saltires, trees, birds and croziers usable as stark silhouette emblems.
