Jean Foy-Vaillant's Latin history of the Parthian kings, reconstructed from coin evidence, published in Paris by Charles Moette in 1725 for antiquarians and numismatists. The plates here are letterpress ornaments: symmetrical acanthus scrollwork, cartouches, urns and strapwork monograms printed in black on laid paper, useful as chapter headpieces, tailpieces and frame elements.
