A French technical manual on domestic heating and economical cooking, written by Edmond Pelouze and published by Audot in Paris in 1828 for householders, builders and stove-makers. The engraved plates show stoves, ranges, flues and fireboxes in cutaway section and plan, lettered and numbered by figure, giving designers fine-line hatching, sectioned masonry and compact diagram grids.
