The art & ethics of dress
A 1915 treatise on dress by Eva Olney Farnsworth, issued by Paul Elder & Company of San Francisco for women readers interested in reforming what they wore. The plates are pen-and-ink line drawings signed "Audey B.U.": women in loose high-waisted gowns, corsets and hats, set against flat mirrors, balustrades and flower garlands, with uniform contour line and solid black fills.
