Art in dress
A 1922 dressmaking and pattern-drafting manual by P. Clement Brown, published in New York for dressmakers and design students. Pages combine dotted-line flat pattern blocks — bodices, sleeves, gored skirts, kimono jackets — with pen-and-ink fashion plates of slim 1920s figures in dropped-waist gowns, plumes and cloche hats, giving designers both technical diagrams and period silhouettes.
