A reference dictionary of British and American bookplate artists and engravers, compiled by H. W. Fincham and published in London by Kegan Paul in 1897 for collectors of bookplates and prints. The plates reproduce engraved armorial shields, mantling and crests alongside allegorical figures, library interiors, ships, monks and heavy foliate borders, with engraved owner names and signatures useful as lettering and frame models.
